Super Stylish Christmas Cocktails

December is here and we are finally starting to feel festive! Each year we like to share our super stylish ways to make your Christmas fancy and feeling good! Cocktails are a great starter to any celebration and whilst some prefer a stiff kick to their festive drink to get going, there have never been more non-alcoholic varieties to play with. Festive cocktails are colourful, fun and cater to everyone. So first things first, get yourself some super stylish glass varieties, they are very on trend and all the cool cats are doing them from Country Road to Freedom, even Kmart. Then start mixing and garnishing to wow your crowd. Here are some examples below - Booze optional. Chin Chin!

 

White Christmas Mojito

Ingredients

  • 1 piece lime: juiced

  • 8 pieces mint leaves

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 2 tablespoon white rum

  • 1 tablespoon coconut rum

  • 1/4 cup canned coconut milk

  • sparkling water for topping

  • pomegranate arils: for serving

Directions

  1. Muddle the lime juice, sugar and mint leaves in a glass until the leaves have broken down.

  2. Fill the glass half way with ice.

  3. Combine the white rum, coconut rum, and coconut milk in a blender and pulse until smooth.

  4. Pour over the ice and stir to combine.

  5. Top with sparkling water, mint and pomegranate.

  6. Cheers!

 

Gin Fizz 

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup gin

  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 Tbsp rosemary simple syrup 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 1 sprig rosemary. Boil water until sugar dissolves, remove from heat, add rosemary and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Remove rosemary and refrigerate simple syrup

  • 2 Tbsp pomegranate juice

  • Club soda chilled

  • Rosemary sprigs and pomegranate arils for garnish

Directions

  • Mix gin, lemon juice, simple syrup and pomegranate juice in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously 10-12 times then pour over ice in a lowball glass.

  • Top with club soda and stir gently.

  • Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and a large spoonful of pomegranate arils!
